Tri-County EMS - a
not for profit organization founded in 1976 one of six regional emergency medical services councils in Maine.
Serving Androscoggin, Franklin, and Oxford Counties
Tri-County EMS is committed to providing the highest quality
Emergency Medical Services within the Androscoggin, Franklin,
and Oxford Counties. This is achieved through an evolving Emergency
Medical Services System in the region and the state. Our purpose is
to integrate the components of the EMS system and foster fiscally
responsible quality patient outcomes through multi-disciplinary
collaboration. This is accomplished by a Total Quality approach that
includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Caring for our patients, their families, and the community;
- Timely, orderly, multi-disciplinary and clinically
appropriate services;
- Disseminating and participating in public education for
prevention and awareness;
- Delivering and coordinating EMS related education and
training, both independently and in cooperation with facilities
of higher education throughout the state;
- Supporting the wellness of our Providers and families, and
providing them the tools and methods to accomplish quality care;
- Utilizing system analysis and continuous quality
improvement;
- Fostering relationships with local, regional, state and
national agencies to advocate for the needs of Providers and
patients;
- Encouraging joint institutional planning as well as program
and cost sharing;
- Maintaining a Board of Directors consistent with corporate
bylaws; and
- Maintaining the designation as the Region 2 EMS Council for
Maine EMS through fulfilling the annual service contract.
