Regional Quality Improvement Educational Session

This program is specifically designed for EMS Service QI Coordinators/Committee Members and EMS Service Leadership

Goal of the program: To improve the management of  the airways of EMS patients throughout the Tri-County EMS Region

Objectives: At the end of the session the participants will be able to:
  • Review EMS airway calls in a uniform manner
  • Utilize the features of the MEMS Electronic Run Report for QA/QI purposes
  • Categorize an airway call – using the terms Optimal, Acceptable, Suboptimal, Substandard
  • Assist service members in improving documentation on EMS calls

Presenter: Joseph LaHood, Paramedic

Presentation: This will be an interactive session focusing on the practical elements of an airway call review. The session will also focus on the key elements required for optimal airway management, and interpersonal communication skills.

There is no charge for this program and continuing education credits will be awarded.
